Bookkeeper (Contract) | Iowa City, IA
Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and supporting day-to-day accounting functions. The Bookkeeper will work closely with internal teams to ensure transactions are processed accurately and financial information remains up to date.
What You'll Be Doing
✅ Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
✅ Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
✅ Preparing and posting journal entries
✅ Assisting with month-end closing activities
✅ Managing invoicing, billing, and payment processing
✅ Researching and resolving discrepancies
✅ Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
✅ Assisting with reporting and other accounting-related projects as needed
